Your nurse will review your screening information, check your observations and talk you through the treatment before confirming it’s appropriate to proceed. A small cannula is then placed in a vein in your arm or hand, and your nurse stays with you throughout the infusion.
Allow around an hour for your appointment, although timing varies depending on your treatment and individual needs. Once finished, your nurse will remove the cannula, check how you’re feeling and explain any aftercare.
